I was spending a night at London's brilliant club FOLD before I produced ‚Do You Love Me‘. Being hangover in my hotel room, Breaking Bad running on Netflix in the backround, I started to play around with some heavy kicks and this eclectic roaring bassline combined with some synth melodies. The whole idea took me like 30 minutes and then it was pretty much done. I finished all different parts and added the ‚You have to let me go‘ sample on top of it. When I finished ‚DYLM‘ some days later in my studio in Spain, I knew instantly that I found my expression and new sound that I want to follow for the next years as Julien Bracht. Something between the sound I used to do earlier in my first techno career signed on Frankfurts legendary techno label Cocoon and my years as band producer and drummer. It’s energetic, edgy, catchy, emotional at some point and hitting on big club PAs. I want to be a techno act, but with a different approach. I want to have that concert and live feeling in clubs and I'm sure Techno will be the new Punk of the next years.
